Baby Blue Eyes

So, remember this little precious flower?

I don’t really see how you could forget her.

WELL! When I was in Ohio a couple of weeks ago, I got to meet up with Jolene (we missed you, C$) and photograph Miss Addi once again. I still can’t get over her beautiful blue eyes. She is such a doll. I love seeing my friends step into the role of “parent.” They are changed people – in all the best ways. Jolene and Craig are no exception. They love their baby girl and it is quite obvious that she knows it and loves them right back! Here are some of my favorite shots! Enjoy!

Mommy love.

Peace, Love, & Baby Blues,

Kate

Senior Session

This is pretty exciting for me to share because the gorgeous girl in this post is related to me! It’s the first time I’ve done a shoot for a family member and I was honored! Meet my cousin, Beth. She is a big time Senior and she asked me to take her senior pictures! She came down to my house and we had a great time. It’s hard for me to believe that she will be graduating this Spring. I love how these photos turned out! I hope you enjoy them as well.

Peace, Love, & Cutie Cute Cousins,

Kate

Oh…Hey, Fall.

I don’t think I could love fall more. Sweaters, leaves, apple cider, the Patriots!, cool, crisp, fall mornings, pumpkin spice everything! It’s absolutely my most favorite season. I am beyond excited to experience it in New England again this year!

This summer has definitely been one of transition. I knew it would be, but knowing it would be didn’t really make it any easier. I love being back in New England. I love being able to see my family all the time. At the same time, I desperately miss my wonderful friends and church family. There are days when I’m okay and everything feels okay. Then there are days when it seems like I won’t ever settle back in here and I feel lonely and just plain…sad. Despite having emotional days, I know in my heart and my head that this is the right thing and the best thing…and it really has been a great summer! Some highlights include:

Spending the summer with my buddy (and his two sisters)!

The whole family home for the 4th of July!

3 of the most fabulous women I know - road trippin' it from Ohio to visit!

Seeing my inside-and-out-gorgeous friend, Sandi while she was in NH!

And I know where she gets it - her precious Mama! I love you, Tante Judy! 🙂

Finally getting to see John Mayer with some of my favorite guys!

Celebrating with a stunning bride and my dear friend, Gretchen, on her wedding day!

SO wonderful to spend a weekend with life-long college friends!

Family vacation in Lake George, NY.

Lots of family! 🙂

Time with my beautiful cousins! They're growing up so quickly!

Being able to see them is a blessing I so appreciate!

I am looking forward to a refreshing and rejuvenating fall. I will be starting a new job in 9 short days! I accepted a position as a live-in nanny in Lexington, MA (as in Lexington & Concord)! I’m excited about really settling in and finding a church. I’m excited to see what the next chapter of the story that my Heavenly Father is writing will hold. He has been so faithful – even in my longing for what I’ve known – I can recognize that. He is good…no matter what.

I realize that what I’ve shared today isn’t exactly in the running for “most upbeat post of all time.” 🙂 It’s what has been on my heart though! Thanks to those of you that read and have been a support to me this summer. It means more than you know. I can’t wait for the next leg of the journey…

Peace, Love, & Embracing Change,

Kate

So, I just have to start this post by saying that Nolan is one of the cutest little boys ever! These have to be some of my most favorite photographs. He’s a doll. I love the red hair/blue eyes combo. Heart.break.er.

I know Steve and Abby from Cedarville and I am SO excited that we were able to fit in some time to photograph their family before I moved! They were so much fun and you can tell that they are totally in love with their little guy. Who wouldn’t be?!? Have I mentioned the red hair/blue eyes combo??? In addition to being a cutie cute, he is all boy – running around, exploring, and seeing what he can get in to. It was hard to narrow it down, but here are a few of my favorites!

Peace, Love, & I officially want a red haired child someday,

Kate

Hunter & Chad

I remember the first night I met Hunter at house church. She was asking who the red purse (aka “the treasure chest”) belonged to. It was mine (obvi) so we struck up a conversation. It wasn’t long before I knew that she was an incredibly special and unique woman. Our friendship has been one that I am extremely grateful for. She and Chad are fabulous together. I’ve been able to get to know Chad through house church as well and I have no doubt that they will be fabulous parents to baby Bella!

And talk about good lookin’! Hunter, you are positively glowing.

You too, Chad. 😉

Love you both!

...whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Peace, Love, & Daisies,

Kate

Oh, hello. Guess who lives in a different state? This girl. It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but I am finally settled in the great state of Massachusetts. It’s wonderful to be home. It feels a little odd to think that I won’t be packing up in a few days and saying goodbye. Speaking of saying goodbye…ummm – I have amazing friends. Last Sunday night there was a “celebrate Kate’s time in Dayton, NOT a going-away party” party and I just have to say…I was overwhelmed. Thank you all so much! I was grateful to see each one of you there. It was a great night.

So…photos. I still take those. Before moving, I had the opportunity to photograph a family for the second time since living in Dayton. Kris contacted me last year to photograph their family and when she asked if I could squeeze them in again before I left, I didn’t hesitate. They are so much fun and just beautiful people! Here are a few from our time together!

Peace, Love, & Homemade Pasta,

Kate

Addison K.

It’s amazing to me how fast kids grow and develop their own little personalities. I photographed Miss Addison last year for her first birthday. She was just starting to walk and yesterday we were chasing her around trying to snap photos as she explored the park. We had such a fun morning!

Also, notice the adorable bows Addison has in her hair? Kristen, her Mom, makes them and she will even do custom orders! Check out http://www.pinkpearlsandpigtails.blogspot.com to get more information! I could fill multiple posts with photos of this little one. She’s one adorable little girl!

Peace, Love, & Hair bows,

Kate

Matt & Dana

I have fabulous friends. I have lots of friends that are about to be parents for the very first time! Tonight, I was able to spend some time with one of those couples…Matt and Dana. I’ve known them for years and I’m so excited to meet their baby boy when he gets here in October! Here are a few of my favorites from tonight!

Peace, Love, & New parents-to-be,

Kate

I should so be in bed right now. Up way past my bedtime, but I had the honor of photographing an engagement session with Andrew and Mandie tonight and I can’t stop looking through their pictures. What a cute couple. I love photographing couples that love to laugh and have a good time. Andrew and Mandie are just that type. We had a blast running all over the Dayton area. A few of my faves…

Peace, Love, & Sweet sleep,

Kate

This wedding is actually from a couple of weeks ago. I met Stephen and Stacey through Apex. When Stacey asked if I would photograph their wedding, I was honored! She did a great job with all the fun, bright decorations. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of her centerpieces! It was a great day – thanks for letting me be a part of it, guys!

Peace, Love, & A pop of color,

Kate
