I don’t think I could love fall more. Sweaters, leaves, apple cider, the Patriots!, cool, crisp, fall mornings, pumpkin spice everything! It’s absolutely my most favorite season. I am beyond excited to experience it in New England again this year!
This summer has definitely been one of transition. I knew it would be, but knowing it would be didn’t really make it any easier. I love being back in New England. I love being able to see my family all the time. At the same time, I desperately miss my wonderful friends and church family. There are days when I’m okay and everything feels okay. Then there are days when it seems like I won’t ever settle back in here and I feel lonely and just plain…sad. Despite having emotional days, I know in my heart and my head that this is the right thing and the best thing…and it really has been a great summer! Some highlights include:
Spending the summer with my buddy (and his two sisters)!
The whole family home for the 4th of July!
3 of the most fabulous women I know - road trippin' it from Ohio to visit!
Seeing my inside-and-out-gorgeous friend, Sandi while she was in NH!
And I know where she gets it - her precious Mama! I love you, Tante Judy! 🙂
Finally getting to see John Mayer with some of my favorite guys!
Celebrating with a stunning bride and my dear friend, Gretchen, on her wedding day!
SO wonderful to spend a weekend with life-long college friends!
Family vacation in Lake George, NY.
Lots of family! 🙂
Time with my beautiful cousins! They're growing up so quickly!
Being able to see them is a blessing I so appreciate!
I am looking forward to a refreshing and rejuvenating fall. I will be starting a new job in 9 short days! I accepted a position as a live-in nanny in Lexington, MA (as in Lexington & Concord)! I’m excited about really settling in and finding a church. I’m excited to see what the next chapter of the story that my Heavenly Father is writing will hold. He has been so faithful – even in my longing for what I’ve known – I can recognize that. He is good…no matter what.
I realize that what I’ve shared today isn’t exactly in the running for “most upbeat post of all time.” 🙂 It’s what has been on my heart though! Thanks to those of you that read and have been a support to me this summer. It means more than you know. I can’t wait for the next leg of the journey…
Peace, Love, & Embracing Change,
Kate
